Work Experience

Reality Labs Research, Meta

• Currently on team investigating wearable input combined with a contextual AI-powered interface
• Designing and implementing novel interaction techniques with Unity (C#), Kotlin, and multiple prototype devices
• Authored publications about the projects PinchType and Wrist Deflection Scrolling

Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science

• One of about twenty TAs for the course "Great Ideas in Theoretical Computer Science" (150-250 students, depending on the semester)
• Taught two weekly classes of about fifteen students each, held office hours, graded assignments, and worked with students individually
• As co-head TA, coordinated TA responsibilities and supported the professors

Carnegie Mellon University Human-Computer Interaction Institute

• Built and programmed four prototype virtual reality spaces in Unity for the HTC Vive
• One of eight students working with professor Jessica Hammer on the project VR Home, which explores the potential of virtual reality to augment people's homes
• Reviewed literature, developed research questions, conducted playtests/interviews, synthesized results as co-author of research paper

Google (YouTube Developer Infrastructure)

• Developed interface for monitoring test statuses in real time across Google
• Independently implemented five new features over the course of the summer
• The interface was used by YouTube to enable on-call rotations to identify and respond to issues faster, and to keep the organization on track for frequent and reliable releases

Other Experience

Art/Story Lead, Puzzle Writer

• Teammate Hunt, teammate's recurring puzzle hunt, is a week-long online event
• The latest Teammate Hunt had over 603 participating teams
• Contributed puzzles and artwork to Teammate Hunt since 2020
• Managed teams of eight artists and writers to create the 2021 and 2025 hunts' plot and visuals
• Acted as Creative Lead for the 2023 MIT Mystery Hunt (written by teammate)

Volunteer Teaching Assistant

• TEALS is a Microsoft Philanthropies program in which volunteers help teach high school computer science classes
• Collaborated with team of five to teach a year-long introductory class with twenty students
• Led several lectures, answered student questions, and graded programming assignments

Co-President, Puzzle Writer

• Puzzlehunt CMU is a student organization at Carnegie Mellon that writes and organizes puzzle hunts
• Managed staff of eight students to host five college puzzle hunts over two years
• Reached out to sponsors, promoted event, oversaw creation of puzzles and hunt website, distributed food and prizes during event
• Our largest hunt lasted 24 hours and had 1400 participants
